Thank you for shopping with us. By visiting our site or purchasing something from us in-person in the retail store or wine bar, you agree to be bound by the policies set forth herein. These policies apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept all major brands of credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

DELIVERY POLICY 

We deliver to Boston and most locations within Massachusetts. Deliveries are free for Club Members or for any local customers on the purchase of a case of wine or more. Deliveries cannot be made to PO boxes and require signature by a recipient that is over 21 years old. Corporate deliveries available.

Deliveries are sent one to a few times a week. To maintain affordable delivery costs deliveries are typically batched with other deliveries in your area. Deliveries further out of the city will take additional time to be delivered as we find additional orders in your area. As a small business, we do our best to get your delivery to you as soon as possible but we appreciate your patience as we look for additional deliveries in your area if you are outside of Boston. If you need your order by a certain date please include the date in the notes or email us at orders@georgieswine.com with details.

ITEM, TICKET, & EVENT AVAILABILITY 

Items. We focus on small production wines so it’s very possible that your favorite wine or a wine you have ordered my not be available. In this circumstance, we will provide you with a curated selection of alternative wines for you to choose from. 

Wines may be special ordered upon consideration however we are limited to availability from distributers within the state. Special orders are final sale.

Georgie’s Events/Tickets/Reservations. Tickets or reservations for Georgie’s Events (i.e. Flight Club Wine School, Blind Tasting & Trivia, Bar Takeovers, or Wine Clue Night) are non-refundable. If a Georgie’s Event is cancelled or rescheduled, you will receive a credit of the full amount towards any future Flight Club or other Georgie’s Event. Georgie’s Events have a minimum attendance required, if you are unable to attend after purchasing a ticket please email events@georgieswine.com.

Private/Semi-Private Events. Event date(s) and time(s) are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply to any promotions, special offers, or extraordinary events including but not limited to donations, giveaways, or crowdfunding rewards.

 

ORDER CANCELLATION

We understand that you might change your mind and need to cancel your order after purchase. The quickest way to cancel an order is to email us at orders@georgieswine.com. Refunds can take 7-14 days to process and reflect on your account. Special orders, Event Tickets & Reservations are final sale and non-refundable.  See the private/semi-private event policy below.

RETAIL / ONLINE ORDER RETURN POLICY & EXCHANGES

Retail Purchases. Unless there is a problem with your purchase (see below) all retail sales are final.  

Problem with a bottle. Should there be a problem with your bottle such as cork taint (aka corked wine) or other issue, please send us an email as soon as possible to georgie@georgieswine.com and bring your bottle back to Georgie’s Wine as soon as possible to be evaluated for an exchange.

Special Orders / Mystery Cases etc. These items are FINAL SALE and non-refundable.

Georgie’s Events. Tickets or reservations for Georgie’s Events (i.e. Flight Club Wine School, Blind Tasting & Trivia, Bar Takeovers, or Wine Clue Night) are non-refundable. PRIVATE / SEMI-PRIVATE EVENTS

Proposal. Refer to your final proposal sent via email, Dropbox Sign, or other channel for details regarding minimums, date & time, party size, menu, pricing, fees, taxes, and gratuity.

Deposit. A 50% deposit is required to guarantee the event unless the event is pre-paid. Deposits are non-refundable; if the event is cancelled within 7 days of the event date, the deposit can be used as a credit towards a future event. If the event is cancelled 3 days or less prior to the event date, a fee of the contract or purchased amount Food & Beverage minimum will be assessed. The total event price can be prepaid for a 10% discount; if the event is cancelled or the guest count changes materially to reduce pricing within 7 days of the event, the difference is issued as a credit toward a future event at the wine bar or for retail bottles at the retail shop. 

Gratuity. A 20% service gratuity is added to your final total.

Payment. Payments must be made by credit card. The credit card will be saved on file to process the full amount (if pre-paid), deposit, and any remaining amounts of the event total will be charged on the day of the event.

Menu. The menu is based on availability and subject to change.

Event Time & Duration. The event and the pricing is based on the time and date stated at the top of your event proposal. An additional fee of $300 per 30 minute block will charged to the card on file for any events that arrive early or stay beyond the agreed upon event duration outside of the grace period. Georgie’s provides a 30 minute grace period before and after the stated duration of an event. If the overage is outside of normal business hours, the fee is $500 per 30 minute block.  Time overages are subject to availability and scheduling.

Event purchase online. The above terms and conditions apply to any purchased/pre-paid events via the website (georgieswine.com or commonvines.square.site), link or invoice.

Blackout dates. Georgie’s reserves to the ability to set blackout dates and times during event peak periods. This only applies to pre-purchased wine tastings & events during a sale or promotion

 

SALES TAX

Sales tax, if any, is charged based on the applicable state and local sales tax regulations and rates. We withhold sales tax as required by law; these laws are subject to change. In addition, we reserve the right to change this policy as needed.

LEGAL

We are not responsible for any claims relating to infringement by the product of third-party intellectual property rights. 

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS OR THE RESULTS THAT YOU MAY ACHIEVE UTILIZING SUCH PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARICULAR PURPOSE (TO EXTENT APPLICABLE) WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED. IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOST PROFITS OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO REPLACING DEFECTIVE GOODS. PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA SONG-BEVERLY CONSUMER WARRANTY ACT, THIS PRODUCT IS SOLD “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.”

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to your purchase of any product from us shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Venue for any arbitration, or any legal dispute, shall lie only in the State of Delaware and in no other venue or forum. The laws of the State of Delaware shall apply to all transactions.

We do, however, provide you with the opportunity to satisfy your Right to Know and Right to Delete the personal information collected, used and stored by us. We will not discriminate against you in any way for making a request or exercising any applicable right.

What if I live in a state with a Right to Know?
If you live in a state where you have a Right to Know you may request personal information that we maintain that is specific to you. Simply email your request to georgie@georgieswine.com. We will not discriminate against you in any way for making this request or exercising any applicable right. 

What if I Live in a State with a Right to Delete?
If you live in a state with a Right to Delete, you may have a right to request a deletion of your personal information. Simply email your request to georgie@georgieswine.com requesting that your personal information be deleted. We will not discriminate against you in any way for making this request or exercising any applicable right. 

Under certain circumstances we will not be able to comply with your request to delete your personal information immediately, or at all, for the following reasons:

  • It is not a qualified request because there is no applicable law or regulation requiring or allowing for the deletion of the information that you have provided;
